Rental Pricing Schedule

Opera House rental rates are set periodically by our Board of Trustees. We believe our rates to be highly competitive in the Southern NH area, based on the characteristics of our facility and equipment, and on our costs of operation.  Our costs for electricity and heating oil have increased dramatically during 2004 and 2005.   Our goal is to provide an affordable venue for arts events in Downtown Derry, serving the Greater Derry area.  We are sometimes asked if we have non-profit discount rates.  Most of the Opera House rentals are to non-profits, so these are the non-profit rates; we have never bothered to define for-profit rates.

Hourly rental pricing for the Green Room only:

Refundable Cleaning and Security Deposit:

A day of use is defined as up to 12 hours.  Hourly rates will be billed for any use beyond the 12 hour limit.

Note (1): The Green Room hourly rate is subject to a 2-hour minimum rental.

Note (2): The Opera House hourly rate may be applied to any event not requiring the use of stage sets, stage props, stage lighting or more than minimal public address (i.e. a single microphone).  This rate is limited to meetings, lectures and similar events.  The Opera House hourly rate is subject to a 3-hour minimum rental.

Note (3): The Opera House per diem rates apply to any production or event that includes the use of any of the following: stage lighting, stage sets, stage props, or more than minimal sound reinforcement (i.e. a single microphone).  This rate includes rehearsals, technical work sessions as well as performances.

Note (4): The rehearsal per diem discount of 20% is deducted from the price of rehearsal days only, when 3 or more consecutive rehearsal days are included in a single week or two week rental.

Additional rent, at the hourly rate, is charged for load-in, load-out, set-up or cleaning on a day not otherwise included in the rental contract, as quoted.

The rental of Sundays (full or half day) for load-in and load-out is strongly recommended for week-long rentals for shows that have any significant amount of technical set-up of sets, lights, sound or special effects.  Certified technical staff is required to supervise these operations and is often not available during week days.  Please plan your schedule accordingly.
