About Us The Greater Derry Arts Council is a New Hampshire non-profit corporation dedicated to fostering the arts in the communities that we serve: Derry and the immediately surrounding towns.
An important disclaimer... SPAM Notice: (May 2006) Some disreputable characters have recently been sending lots of SPAM (unsolicited commercial e-mail) that purports to come from random users at derryarts.org. It's not from us. If we could put a stop to it, we would. Apparently, impersonating a legitimate Internet domain name on SPAM is a common tactic used by the bad guys to help them avoid your SPAM filter.
Would you be willing to support us? Our Membership and Sponsorship offerings may be of interest to you. Arts organizations nation-wide rely on memberships, subscriptions and donations for up to a third of their annual operating income. With recent increases in the costs of fuel oil and electricity, the Arts Council needs to rely on the financial support of our community to help make ends meet. Please consider making a donation today.
Would you be interested in volunteering? We really could use your help. Would you consider becoming an Arts Council Volunteer? Please look at our Committees and see if there is an area in which you'd like to participate. Please review our Organizational Structure, to see how we operate. Please review our Services that we provide to the public. Please contact us if you are interested or just have questions. If the arts are at all important to you, please help. Without new volunteers, the Arts Council cannot fulfill its diverse mission to the communities we serve. We can't afford paid staff. Please don't assume that "someone else" will step forward. We need everyone who values the arts, in any form, to lend a hand.
How can we assist you? If you are a local area artist, we'd like to hear from you. We occasionally get requests from organizations for referrals of local artists, in various disciplines, for local projects or programs. Would you like to join our modest Artists Roster? Do you have arts event information to share? If you have information regarding local artistic, cultural or civic events that you would like us to post on our Local-Info page, please contact us.
