More about the Opera House...
A major, $1.5 million renovation of the Adams
Memorial Building was completed in 2001. The Opera House directly
benefits by new heating and air conditioning systems, an elevator, a new
electric service, a sprinkler system, new rest rooms, and new dressing
rooms. The balcony is
available for seating, with restored theatre-style seats from the Boston
Opera House. All told, a great boon to patrons of the arts! We
have all new chairs on the main Opera House floor. These brand
new, padded, upholstered chairs are much more comfortable than the
"historic" chairs we have used since the Opera House re-opened in 1993.
Come to a show, test out the new chairs, and let us know if you agree!

Are you looking for a
production venue?
We're always
looking for productions and events to book at the Opera House. Would your organization be
interested in staging a production in Derry? Would you be interested in producing a
concert series at the Opera House? If so, please look at the Opera House Rental Information.

Would you be interested in
volunteering?
A specific
plea for help: We really need some additional volunteers to assist in the operation of the
Opera House. Do you have an interest in the technical production, promotional or management aspects of
theatre? Would you like to help local groups stage their events at the Opera House? Click
here for more information.
