The Derry Opera House
located in the historic Adams Memorial Building

Just a "Heads-Up":  A new web site for the Derry Opera House is coming June 1.

Would you like to attend a performance?

The historic and renovated Derry Opera House offers a variety of shows including Broadway musicals, plays, childrenšs theater, dance, concerts and fine art shows.  Shows are produced by various local performing arts groups, and are listed here: Schedule of Shows.  The Opera House is located in downtown Derry, NH and is operated by the Greater Derry Arts CouncilContact the Greater Derry Arts Council for ticket reservations or information about renting the Opera House for performances and events. The Opera House is air conditioned, handicap accessible and seats up to 350 patrons.

More about the Opera House...

A major, $1.5 million renovation of the Adams Memorial Building was completed in 2001. The Opera House sports upgraded heating, air conditioning and electric systems, upgraded rest rooms, a new elevator, sprinkler system, and dressing rooms.  The balcony is available for seating, with restored theatre-style seats from the Boston Opera House.

Are you looking for a production venue?

We're always looking for productions and events to book at the Opera House. Would your organization be interested in staging a production in Derry? Would you be interested in producing a concert series at the Opera House? If so, please look at the Opera House Rental Information.

Are you looking for an event venue?

We are currently offering the Opera House for private and corporate events, meetings and social gatherings, such as weddings, birthdays, etc.  Our primary focus is on the arts, of course, but with time available in the schedule we can accommodate a limited number of private events.  Please look at the Opera House Rental Information.

Would you be interested in volunteering?

A specific plea for help: We really need some additional volunteers to assist in the operation of the Opera House. Do you have an interest in the technical production, promotional or management aspects of theatre? Would you like to help local groups stage their events at the Opera House? Click here for more information.
